In Oklahoma, one the reddest states, the unvaccinated make up 75% of Covid hospital admissions according to the latest data from the Oklahoma State Department of Health. That stat--75 to 90%--is nowhere near what I'm seeing anywhere. You know out of the UK and Israel for a couple of months now is the fact that the vaccinated are MORE likely to contract Covid, though the vaccines still have some protective affect against severe illness. Some.
I think the percent of unvaccinated Covid patients in hospitals is actually a lot higher. An ER nurse who's one of my wife's best friends says Covid patients that come into the ER with Covid are often reluctant to admit that they are unvaccinated. It's the same as people coming into the ER with STDs. They don't like to admit that they failed to take precautions that have proven to work.
Unvaccinated individuals make up 75% of COVID-19 hospitalizations across Oklahoma
