Growing financial stress also taking an emotional impact on families, National Payroll Institute says.

The number of Canadians who say they are unable to meet their financial obligations and are facing mounting financial stress has jumped significantly in the past year, according to a new survey from the National Payroll Institute, which is calling the situation a national emergency.

“A financial storm has picked up significant strength and it’s far more intense than initially predicted,” Peter Tzanetakis, the institute’s president, told the Star. “The key drivers of this financial stress have been increases in interest rates, inflation and the cost of living.”

Canada's baseline has always been among the highest in the world and could still be the highest. If not then we will be among the Scandinavian socially responsible countries that are!

But there's little doubt that all first world countries are going to declinse in quality of life as the resources of the world are starting to be shared around to the emerging countries. China's and Russia's efforts in Africa are having an effect and it's likely to be part of the reason why the US is being invaded by the poor in such high numbers. That has a lot to do with Canada's situation as we continue to do more than our part to help the situation of the starving and misplaced.

At least we aren't like America in that they destroy the chances of countries to succeed, which has actually created most of the Central American and South American migrations. It's not a new problem! The world saw how America created the problem for Cuba after their successful revolutioin against America's Batista gangster regime.

Talk to your church! They will be proposing remedies to the current problems that involve money. Your money and OPM. And for your sake, be generous!
