The world without nuclear weapons will never exist. Our species exists on the fact that we are safe with other nations fearing us. Those who have broken through the barrier to nuclear technology will also fear more without the weapons. So I ask why should we drop the gun and hold up our hands. We need these weapons for defense against any invaders or protection from forces unknown. Our fear will keep them around for as long as they are useful.

Can America protect itself from nuclear-armed missiles? Shockingly, Pentagon’s weapons testing office doesn’t think so
Tuesday 10th January, 2017 | WASHINGTON, U.S. - According to the Pentagon’s weapons testing office, the America’s $36 billion system of ground-based interceptors cannot be guaranteed to shoot down a nuclear-armed missile aimed at United States by hostile nations such as North Korea or Iran.
