And yet all those statics PALE when we consider Automobiles. Where is your OUTRAGE at all the millions murdered by cars? Doctors and Nurses have killed even millions more by accident with nearly no punishment at all. I don't see you demanding any laws about that?

A president alone cannot overturn 2nd amendment. Only Congress could do that and there is a number of political and judiciary stumbling blocks along the way.

By weapon type, personal weapons such as hands, fists, feet, etc. were used in 27.7 percent of the aggravated assaults, firearms in 19.0 percent, and knives or other cutting instruments in 17.8 percent. Probably wasn't at the time. The Bill of Rights originally only applied to the federal government, not the state and local governments. Wasn't until the 1920s that the Supreme Court started applying them to the States and local governments through Incorporation into the 14th amendment.
