The way the media will act during Trump's presidency is how they are supposed to act will ALL Presidents.

THe First ammendment and its inclusion of FREEDOM OF THE PRESS is to keep government honest, not to collude to get the candidate THEY LIKE elected.

The media has been kissing Obama's ass for 8 years. They CLAIM to be unbiased, but we all know they are full of shit.

You'll clearly see the difference in how they treat the President they like and don't like.

CNN has already tried and convicted Trump of crimes against the Universe. Now they're fabricating the evidence to support their conclusion.

The New York Slimes already stated they are going to course correct for the people. Of course the reason is obvious.

Traditional media is dead as far as I'm concerned. The only honest media personality left is the weatherman lol.

That's one interpretation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Look at this shit....the media can absolutely kiss my ass. They completely changed their purpose. If they are nothing but a SUPER PAC for Hilalry, they are useless.

They have DESTROYED their credibility.

New York Times: We blew it on Trump | New York Post

The New York Times just had a loss of 197 Million and have sent a letter to its readers who have subscriptions, apologizing for being biased against Trump, seems many people are dropping them. Some liberal on Morning Joe called them "The Onion" Wed.

As media columnist Jim Rutenberg put it in August, most Times reporters saw Trump “as an abnormal and potentially dangerous candidate” and thus couldn’t be even-handed.

That wasn’t one reporter talking — it was policy. The standards, developed over decades to force reporters and editors to be fair and to build public trust, were effectively eliminated as too restrictive for the Trump phenomenon.

After that, the floodgates opened, and virtually every so-called news article reflected a clear bias against Trump and in favor of Clinton. Stories, photos, headlines, placement in the paper — all the tools were used to pick a president, the facts be damned.

(See Also)Why I finally canceled my New York Times subscription)

Now the bill is coming due. Shocked by Trump’s victory and mocked even by liberals for its bias, the paper is also apparently bleeding readers — and money.

I’ve gotten letters from people who say they cancelled their Times subscriptions and, to judge from a cryptic line in a Thursday article, the problem is more than anecdotal.

Citing reader anger over election coverage, Rutenberg wrote that, “Most ominously, it came in the form of canceled subscriptions.”

New York Times, To our readers,

When the biggest political story of the year reached a dramatic and unexpected climax late Tuesday night, our newsroom turned on a dime and did what it has done for nearly two years — cover the 2016 election with agility and creativity.

After such an erratic and unpredictable election there are inevitable questions: Did Donald Trump’s sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate his support among American voters? What forces and strains in America drove this divisive election and outcome? Most important, how will a president who remains a largely enigmatic figure actually govern when he takes office?

As we reflect on this week’s momentous result, and the months of reporting and polling that preceded it, we aim to rededicate ourselves to the fundamental mission of Times journalism. That is to report America and the world honestly, without fear or favor, striving always to understand and reflect all political perspectives and life experiences in the stories that we bring to you. It is also to hold power to account, impartially and unflinchingly. We believe we reported on both candidates fairly during the presidential campaign. You can rely on The New York Times to bring the same fairness, the same level of scrutiny, the same independence to our coverage of the new president and his team.

We cannot deliver the independent, original journalism for which we are known without the loyalty of our subscribers. We want to take this opportunity, on behalf of all Times journalists, to thank you for that loyalty.

Sincerely,

Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr.

For at least the next 4 years, they will be watchdogs. When Dems are in office, they are lap dogs.

And the weatherman only gets it right half the time. Still better than the rest of the media.

It was pretty over-the-top this time around, even in comparison with 2008.

It might be wishful thinking on my part, but they do seem a little chastened and introspective for a change.

I'll believe it when I see it.
.

They don't truly care, they are just trying to do damage control because it is hitting them hard in the pocketbook.

Now they are worried. That NYT letter to their remaining subscribers is a freaking joke.

That's one interpretation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

That is the entire reason for FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.

it will be harder than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle... They were all bought off long ago while you were sleeping.

The MSM went all in on Hillary, and lost the family farm. Too bad...so sad.

They think they know what's best for everyone else. Arrogant and entitled pricks.

Zero credibility.

I hope you're right. However, I won't be at all surprised if the corporate "liberal" mainstream media falls in line and cowers in the presence of Trump, like they've basically cowered under every President, regardless of party.

The corporate media cares first and foremost about profits. And if they lose access to Trump because they are too aggressive in their questioning of him, then that will hurt their profits.

The media abdicated their responsibility to hold the powerful accountable a long time ago in the interest of profits, and it may now be too late.

Media conglomerates. It was already too late.

Over 60 million misogynists.

What about the minorities and women that voted for Trump? I guess they hate themselves? Will they treat themselves poorly now that Trump won?
