This is a double edged sword. It really does not matter if the international community declares that Israel does not have the right of self-defense. It is an invalid position.

•∆• The UN adopted several resolutions that have been seen by the Pro-Palestinian, Islamic Resistance and radical jihadist as a UN Authority to use "all available means, including armed struggle" --- or --- "any means at their disposal." This is exactly and example of why the Jewish People need a defensible territory to protect them against national and international authorities. The UN is exactly an example of an authority that has used the color of law (UN Resolutions) and official capacity, with the express purpose of placing the Jewish State in a vulnerable position. This vulnerability takes the Jewish People of Israel outside the protection of international law and into a position that would avail itself to acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group: "“right under international law” to murder Israeli civilians in all places and at all times."

Yes, while the HoAP can disguise their appearance outwardly successful and socially 'normal,' wearing a mask of sanity, they have convinced themselves that martyrdom in the act of deliberately targeting women and children is normal and honorable. So much so that they want an award.

This may explain why the security countermeasures are so high and strong. It may explain why Israel is less than enthusiastic about promoting Palestinian developmental projects.
