No Deal!!

Yup...Let's just keep doing the same thing over and over and over...
Spending and borrowing and spending... on and on...

$17 trillion in debt...and no end in site...
And the Democrat party's plan...
Spend our way out of a shitty economy.

The irony here is that the Republicans always complained that the Dems were the "Tax and Spend" party.

When the Republicans took over they LOWERED TAXES and but still INCREASED SPENDING and covered the shortfall by BORROWING instead.

Since they failed to cut spending when they lowered taxes they increased the national debt and by obstructing tax increases they are are the ones forcing the increases in the debt limit.

Agreed that they have been demanding a decrease in spending but they didn't do it when they had the chance and they still aren't offering any reasonable spending cuts either.

So what we have is a Catch-22.

The only solution is a COMPROMISE but no one on the right seems willing to make that happen because of threats of being "primaried".

GOP Lost the:

Presidential election by 5 million votes
Senate election by 10.9 million votes
House election by 1.7 million votes

They can't get their way through the NORMAL system of checks and balances, shut the government down, and we should compromise?

You need to get your head examined. :cuckoo:

There is no need to compromise. The republicans now know that and they are scared shitless as their favor-ability ratings sink coming into an election year.

You need to understand that conservatives on this board are very far right. They do not represent the average Republican or Independent. They have this belief that they are right about everything and, that in the real world, most people actually agree with them. Unfortunately for them, that is completely the opposite of reality as the vast majority do not agree with them. Obama is taking these nut cases and he is allowing them to showcase their stupidity for all to see. The end result will be substantial losses at the polls in 2014 and very likely a catastrophe for Republicans in 2016.

Obama has come to realize that Republicans will do anything and everything to see him fail, and that he is just not going to accomplish much over the next three years, so he's going to set the table for Democrats down the road. The biggest failure of Republicans is their inability to understand that Obama is actually smarter than them and does a much better job playing to his audience than Republicans themselves. He is a master politician that ranks right up there with Clinton and GW. Yea, Democrats made the same mistake about GW. They underestimated his star power. They wanted so bad to assume that he didn't know what he was doing and that he was just a puppet of Dick Cheney. Of course, Dems were quite wrong as GW outsmarted them all over and over again. But this is what radicals do. They are so absorbed with their own tunnel vision that they completely miss what is actually going on.

If Republicans would do anything to see Obama fail, they wouldn't be fighting Obama care. They would let him slide it in under the noses of the American people and let them find out what a skunk of a program it really was. Hell, even the unions are upset with the program ad want it changed or get waivers like Congress has so that they don't have to suffer with the results like the rest of the American people.

No one can answer the question why Congress decided they were above Obamacare and did not have to follow the law. Anyone care to try and answer that for the American people? Sure they would love to know....

Congress is not "above Obamacare". The Republicans added an amendment requiring all Congressional staffers to use the ACA exchanges so they are signing up right now.

Please post the compromises that Obama and Reid have offered.

The Senate (led by Pat Murray), passed a budget and opened a committee to have a conference and hash out the differences between the House's budget. However, the house blocked Harry Reid from opening the conference.

So after three years of the same tired ass barf-argument about the Senate never passing a budget, when they finally do (at almost 300 billion under what Obama wanted), the House declined 18 times to sit down and compromise on a budget since April.

Is that not an attempt to compromise? And, if not, how to do you reach a compromise when the other side refuses to even have a table let alone sit at it to negotiate?

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Mockery is a crutch for the weak in the vacuum of factual arguments.

Fail. You have yet to show Obama or Reid offering compromises.
Today's news is that Reid's idea of compromise is to push for more of what the Dems always want: more spending, higher taxes.
You fail, utterly.

You conveniently forget the poison pill added to that budget at the last minute by disingenuous liberals like Murray to automatically raise the debt ceiling by Trillions, effectively doing away with the whole premise of a debt ceiling in the first place...

Remember, with this bunch of lying progressives, the title of a bill, any bill means nothing when the meat of the bill, and what you libs try and get away with by hiding within lengthy, over arching legislation, that no one reads is expected to just slip through...

Maybe if liberals started being honest, instead of their usual devious tactics they'd have more luck.

Compromise? Oh yeah, Reid compromised all right....He came out over the weekend and said that a so called "clean CR" or "clean debt ceiling" was no longer possible, now he wants the sequester caps lifted as well...

I'd tell him to go to hell, right before I slapped the taste out of his lying mouth.

Nah, now I really know you are an ingrate. I just provided a perfect example:

You CAN NOT compromise if the other party (your GOP) will not sit down at the table even when asked to.

In fact, you proved my point. They just walked away, rather than hash it out.

Making you look like a fool is too easy. :doubt:

Then explain the House's decision to ignore the call to conference 18 times? The purpose of the conference is to come to an agreement (AKA: Compromise).

Her offer to conference was never offered in good faith...They had already planned to just deem the budget in place...Much like they tried to do with Obamacare...

Democrats never bargain in good faith...It's always a lie.

Got any proof that was really their intent? The meeting never happened, so saying intent is pointless if the circumstances never came to fruition.

See, I have proof that there was a call to conference 18 times, not conjecture.

You telling me you know a politicians intent without proof, conjecture.

If that was really the case (which it isn't), why not conference and then "show" that the Dems were not about compromise for the budget. Rather than make yourselves look like fools by not even letting congress function as it should?

Perhaps because you sack baggers had a misguided hard-on over the idea of a shutdown?

^^^^Hard evidence that liberalism is a mental disorder!^^^^

Hard evidence that neanderthal Conservatives are reduced to all fours when presented with facts.
What facts?

The fact that you can distort a statistic to suit your argument?

Of the three elections you listed, which ONE of them is conducted on a National Level?

You see your problem?

Ingrate? Do you even know what you're tlaking about?

I asked for examples of concessions that Obama and Reid have made in this shutdown. The GOP has made several, including simply postponing the mandate for a year. You know, like Obama did illegally with corporations?
You haven't provided any evidence of Obama or Reid offering compromises. Not surprising because there aren't any.
What happened months ago is irrelevant here.
