As I understand it, Illinois is the only state remaining without a concealed carry handgun permitting process.

Regardless of the pros and cons, it's worth a try.

Chicago is a world unto itself and not representative nor a representative of the state as a whole.

Within the city limits, I think it's illegal to even own a handgun. Not sure.
But that's a different issue.
Too lazy to dig deeper this morning.
