New York Attorney General Poised To Pounce On Trump Pardons

I say good. Presidential Parsons were not meant to allow you and your friends to be above the law.
what was the traitor that obammy let out of prison? the one with new boobs? hmmmmmmm you ok?

I say good. Presidential Parsons were not meant to allow you and your friends to be above the law.

Hey moron, a presidential pardon IS the law. It supersedes all other laws. And Trump doesn't even know Scooter Libby so he is far from being one of "his friends." But I'll remember you thought this was a good idea for the day when it is used against one of your buddies and you are screaming bloody murder. Idiot.
Oh great another tRump apologist who thinks he can do no wrong.
Are you saying presidents don't have pardon authority? What was the traitor that obammmy pardoned that grew boobs?

He's saying he is just one more slimy toad looking to undermine the rule of law just to drag this country further down into the mud any way they can. But you can bet your last dollar, their efforts won't be used to question, challenge or reexamine a SINGLE person pardoned under Obuma or Clinton. Not a one. People of this country have HAD IT with the lies and antics of the Left, that's why they've been removed from virtually every important office in the land and one by one are now being dug out of their holes within the deep state of Washington bureaucracy too.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has asked lawmakers to amend the state’s double jeopardy law so pardoned Trump aides could be held accountable for criminal activity.

“Presidents have used this power sparingly, largely to do justice, rather than subvert it,” Eric Schneiderman writes.

New York’s attorney general has asked officials to change state law so President Donald Trump’s aides can be tried for any criminal acts committed in the state, even if they have been given a presidential pardon.

In a letter sent to New York’s top lawmakers, including Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) said that he was troubled by Trump’s frequent discussion of his ability to issue pardons and that he was worried those who had committed crimes in the state would escape prosecution. New York has a double jeopardy law that prevents individuals from being charged with the same crime twice, even if the charges originated at the federal level.

“New York’s statutory protections could result in the unintended and unjust consequence of insulating someone pardoned for serious federal crimes from subsequent prosecution for state crimes,” Schneiderman wrote in the letter, dated April 18. “Even if that person was never tried or convicted in federal court, and never served a single day in federal prison.”

New York currently has 12 exceptions carved out of its double jeopardy law, and Schneiderman has proposed the pardon issue be carved out in a similar fashion. The Constitution protects against multiple prosecutions for the same offense, but only at the federal level.

“Since the Nation’s founding, presidents have used this power sparingly, largely to do justice, rather than subvert it,” Schneiderman writes in his letter. “Yet recent reports indicate that the President may be considering issuing pardons that may impede criminal investigations.”

The Left is in full Jihad on America. It stated when Al Gore was ordered to retract his concession and contest the election and it's gotten progressively worse ever since

it's what poor sports do. they have no internal mechanisms to allow them to accept defeat graciously.

bullying behind their job titles. that's all. poor sports that have no gracious bone in their bodies.

They'd just as soon get in bed with illegals than citizens. Doh, they are doing that.

CAN YOU IMAGINE Obuma or Clinton pardoning one of their slick crook buddies and democratic AGs stepping forward to say they want to change the law to get around their pardon so they can go after them anyway for crimes? Why, those people would be drummed out of the Democratic Party! Their careers would be over. This is all just another ploy by the Left like a petulant child to throw a wrench into the workings of a country they no longer play any role in, and the more they act the way they do, they just keep getting voted out of more, and more, and more elected offices.

Frank, I'm officially calling this a civil war today. They are at war now. the gauntlet is dropped. gear up.

Just remember, it is the Democratic Party that calls citizens "Deplorables" and calls illegal aliens "Dreamers."

The lefts war on just law continues. What could possibly go wrong with ending double jeapordy protections? Just keep prosecuting a case over and over until the defendant is bankrupt and can’t hire a lawyer or contradicts previous testimony in any way then get them for perjury.

The left won’t be happy until we have a system of law that looks like the Salem witch trials.

You know, your state has a dual sovereignty law that allows them to ignore double jeopardy for certain cases...

The dual sovereignty law allows the state to charge and try people for the same offense they were charged with on a Fed Level.

Felony gun crimes are an area where it is used

It is both a Fed crime and a state crime. They get charged twice for the same crime.
