Picked up an inexpensive plinker, GSG 1911 22 (22lr) for about $277 out the door. This should be a fun range gun and a lot cheaper than shooting my .45 1911s.

Already removed the mag safety, lightly stoned the rails and lubed it up, not sure I'm going to do much else to it.

Nice looking piece. It ought to be a lot of fun.

LOL....A few years back I gave a guy $200.00 for a stainless Taurus (I know) PT-1911 and put a Kimber .22 upper on it I picked-up lightly used for $100.00 (with four mags) at the flea market.....It shoots lights-out with nary a issue with CCI Standard.

I didn't think much of the color of the stocks but as they are proprietary I did not feel like dropping anymore money on it to replace them.

I never owned a GSG pistol but I had one of these for a time. It was fun but I ended-up trading it off for Henry L/A.....https://www.historicalarmory.com/products/warren-county-virginia-engraved-rifle

I have one. Like it a lot. Mine only likes Hi-vel ammo or it will be inconsistent. I don't worry about it.
