Pity public schools no longer teach even the basics of the judicial system.

The suits are not against the cars nor against GM for having made cars. Nor are they against those who purchased or properly used the cars.

The suits are against Government Motors for having made defective cars and for not having them recalled and repaired as soon as the lethal defect was known.

By the same token if a company made a defective firearm that, due to the defect killed or injured someone a lawsuit would be perfectly in order.
