The facts are either CORRECT or they are not. Given that the credibility of ALL major media is only slightly above that of ISIS -- I suggest you worry a lot more about RESEARCH of the issue and a lot less on blaming the messenger. Climate Change ‘Footprint’ Cited in Disaster Loss Trends

North America has seen the world’s sharpest increase in the number of natural catastrophes during the past 32 years, a trend that in some respects is linked to manmade global warming, according to a report released Wednesday from the global reinsurance giant Munich Re. The study, which has not undergone scientific peer review, examined natural disaster losses between 1980 and 2011, finding that weather-related loss events in North America “nearly quintupled” during the period, compared to just an increase factor of two in Europe, for example.

2012 has, so far, had the most extreme weather on record in the lower 48 states, according to the Climate Extremes Index.

The insured losses during the period was a whopping $510 billion. The largest loss event wasHurricane Katrina in 2005, which was the costliest natural disaster ever recorded in North America, and killed 1,322 people, the report said.

And you will see this in your insurance bills.

Yeah -- "2012 has, so far, had the most extreme weather on record in the lower 48 states, according to the Climate Extremes Index." That's because the chart only goes to 2012.

Counting deaths is a stupid metric, and only someone deliberately trying to fudge the results would try such an obvious deception.

It's like the Y2K bug. Nothing awful happened, so the kooks declared it was all a hoax. Of course, the reason nothing happened is because people saw it coming and busted their asses to prevent the disaster.

Same with weather. We've busted our asses to improve forecasts and early warning systems, and to make cities and structures safer. Of course deaths will go down. Instead of giving credit for saving lives, the kooks try to pretend dangerous weather is a hoax.

Violent tornadoes on the decrease: Since 1950, the overall trend of higher-end tornadoes rated at F3/EF3 and above has remained nearly flat and shows a slight annual decrease of 0.8 percent

Nope. That's bad data, the only kind of data Morano will accept.

Yes, Tornadoes Are Getting Stronger

And all forcasting is still a joke......these bozo's still cant tell within 1,500 miles where a hurricane is going 72 hours out = LOSE. Everybody knows that.:coffee:

Oh.....and one will notice how the heads explode of the AGW religion when new research doesn't conform with the hysterical alarmist view. The fun skeptics have in here really ramps up!!!:funnyface:

bump for public service announcement.............

The AGW k00ks keep throwing bombs about wild and extreme natural disasters frequency being off the hook.........which doesn't conform with the facts or course!!:funnyface::fu: Must remember........the global warming religion must constantly be working hard to keep the public in a state of angst or they'd have absolutely nobody caring about their message ( as it is now, few do ). Those who pay attention know the score and point that out in astute fashion I might add.:coffee: Indeed...........these people embellish, lie, cheat and will say ANYTHING to get people to pay attention to the established narrative.

If someone chose to live within the blast radius of a nuclear test site and got vaporized would we call them victims?

Wanna live near the ocean, your getting killed or otherwise negatively effected by annual, predictable hurricanes is your own damn fault. Nature doesn't pause because people get in its way.

Once AGAIN for the illiterati ... I supplied the info about who's making the point --- the info the OP left out (can't imagine why) --- and it's done. That's all I came here to do.

Don't like it? Go find a credible source.

LOL....these bozo's rhetoric in here doesn't match the graphs..........ever!! The hurricane graph is even more laughable and you know what the AGW k00ks said after 2005!! Same with tornado's..........yet we hear the drumbeats all the time in here about the wilder weather!!

OK :2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

What we have here is some people just tend to the hysterical in life. My wife jumps out of her socks at the sign of any spider in the house......you'd think its the invasion of the anachranids!! What can you do? Same thing with these climate nuts.......they see some weather anomaly and their heads explode. Cant navigate life without finding some kind of explanation for it. What can you do?

Sheltered upbringings? Conditioning at a young age to over-reacting to everyday events? Psychological trauma when young? Ive always held ( being a behavioral psychologist ) that we have some kind of learned psychology with these people. What can you do?

You watch some of the responses to world events by people like DeltaEmbassy and Mamooth........a tendency to being aghast at most anything that happens in the environment. We all know people in life like this......they become horrified at things that most people look at and say "meh". They are consumed with trying to understand their environment at every turn........and truly feel if we work hard enough, we can make all problems go away!! Its fucked up thinking thanks to fucked up conditioning. Thankfully most don't think this way.......if they did, we would have no semblance of a civilized society. None.

This is borne out in all the polls related to global warming.......most people don't care. Why? Because their conditioning conforms to much closer to the norm.........they worry about real things right in front of them because the empirical evidence supports it. Most people look to control the things they see they can or public policy can likely control........the environment doesn't fit that. "Normal" thinking people simply don't have the time or energy to be obsessed with things beyond their control.

The insured losses during the period was a whopping $510 billion. The largest loss event wasHurricane Katrina in 2005, which was the costliest natural disaster ever recorded in North America, and killed 1,322 people, the report said.

And you will see this in your insurance bills.

Your graph doesn't even have a label on the vertical axes. If it's money, then it should be no surprise the money loses increase over time since the value of property increases over time.
