What law makes UHC illegal any more so then medicare or medicaid?DGS49, you left out one major problem with UHC here in the United Ststes... It's illegal and unconstitutional at the Federal level, and likely so in most states.

Where in the constitution is the federal government giving purview of healthcare? Article 1 section 8 defines the powers of congress. There is nothing in there giving them the power to provide healthcare or health insurance to some individual citizens.
The "General welfare" phrase clearly does not when you consider what the author, James Madison, had to say about it.
If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the government is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one subject to particular exceptions.” JM
