If some people in Nantucket are concerned about the area's demographics, vandalizing a building with rude language is NOT going to change anything.

Those concerned citizens should use only legal and peaceful and respectful ways to express their feelings -- IMHO.

Most of them have not been. Modern white racism exists but if you don't think so:

Prove when racism ended and its effects were allayed. Show, with data and peer-reviewed studies supporting your argument, when the effects of the hundreds of years of anti-Black racism from chattel slavery through Old Jim Crow leveled off. Show when the wealth expropriated during that oppression was repaid to those it was expropriated from and through. And remember, after you’ve addressed the end of anti-Black racism you’ll still have to explain when anti-Latinx, anti-Asian, anti-Arab, and anti-Native racism came to an end as well.

And if you can't please stop talking about hoaxes. Because the biggest hoax is the belief in reverse and anti white discrimination.

Oh. It must be a hoax, those women are lying, false flag op, some trifling bit of fun being blown out of proportion by the insidious "left" . . . Next up, out of the right-wing bag of deflections: this vandalism was committed by a Muslim involved in a conspiracy. Or perhaps it was a Mexican in the U.S. illegally.

Some people just can't face the fact that some pitiful racist scumbag damaged an historical landmark.

It's good to see the community come out to set things to rights. I hope that the person who did this is caught quickly and punished.

Is there ever an excuse even if it turns out to be a hoax?

I actually think it being a hoax would be worse, because if actual racists did it, we would not be surprised, but if it's a hoax it damages the people trying to help race relations.
