On 13 January I was diagnosed with COVID-19, despite having had all the vaccines.

I was taken to the local hospital by my daughter where the doctor ordered a CT scan, told me he thought my vitals looked fairly good, and he sent me home without and meds.

I was taken back to the ER on 20 January as I was having trouble breathing. The same ER doctor was there. Upon seeing me he asked what I was doing back. He said I needed to stay in bed and 'tough it out' before sending me home, again without meds.

Last, after stopping breathing 4 separate times my daughter brought me back to the ER. In the room I was wheezing and could no keep my eyes open. I was lying down on the bed when the same DOC walked in, saw me, and told me to get up. He had me do a CT scan.

After the scan he asked me if I had finished the antibiotics I had been given for my COVID PNEUMONIA.....'UM, WHAT pneumonia?!'

The doc then told me they had found the 'ground glass' tell-tale sign of COVID PNEUMONIA on the 13th , before discharging me again.

Because it had been more than a week I was now ineligible for monoclonal antibodies and would not give me ivermectin or other therapeutics. In fact, knowing I had covid pneumonia he said he wasn't going to give me anything.

He then walked out of the room. Right outside the door I heard him tell my nurse to start the discharge paperwork, that he would come back to see me in 30 minutes and would send me home again

I put my jacket own, stepped out of the room, and left.

Finally, today, coughing, pain in lungs (burning), cramping, and an oxygen level at 85%, my daughter took me to an Urgent Care facility. Within 5 minutes they had multiple IV antibiotics and breathing treatments going on, blood being drawn.

I was told my O2 was still dropping and if I had not come in I was headed for a ventilator.

The vaccines do not prevent anyone from getting sick, especially with a compromised immune system like mine. They are supposed to lessen the effects. Thank goodness I got fully vaccinated. If this was 'lessening the effects' of COVID, I would hate to think what the full force of the effects would have been.

As Omicron sweeps across our community / state - 6 people in my household (wife, kids, grandkids) have the virus. In all sincerity, I hope you all stay healthy and take care. Don't let any doctor get away with CHOOSING not to treat you if you are sick. God bless, & STAY SAFE.

The vaccine works so well, I was infected by someone that previously had it and was vaccinated because she works in the health care industry and they MANDATED it. Think about that. Not to mention Fauci made this entire covid thing happen with the gain of function research. Now he's the go to guy on preventative measures. Can't make this shit up, kids.

My son has had all vaccines and boosters. I have had none. Four weeks ago he began showing symptoms and was diagnosed with omicron at urgent care. He was sent home and told to take Mucinex. A week after he first showed symptoms I got sick and was also diagnosed with omicron. I took Nyquil. I was sick for ten days. Once on the mend from omicron it slipped into bronchitis. Not terribly surprising because every cold or sinus infection goes into bronchitis. This episode wasn't as bad as the last bout where I needed an inhaler and breathing treatments. Now I'm totally over the whole mess. Son is back at work.

Do whatever you feel is appropriate for you.

Hang in there. I forgot this Fauci made virus effects us all differently. I got mental fog and sleeplessness and my roommate scolds me, worries and then scolds me because she has COPD end stage and...well, life is precious.

That is a heck of a treatment program or the lack of one. Congrats man! Glad you are making it. It is stories like yours that make me tell everybody, they need to have a close long term medical relationship with a personal physician and clinic that knows you, gives good personal care as an individual long time patient and has admitting privileges at a hospital if it becomes necessary, if they can't treat you effectively from the clinic. Good one have relationship with the better specialists and make the best referrals. It sounds like you were almost ignored or forgotten to death. Take care, improve and carry on, dude!

Glad you are pulling through, sorry to hear you went through this. Early treatment is the key, and your hospital was grossly negligent. I had it rough too when my time came back in August, and am confident that my hospital care was incompetent as well. It will take a few weeks to get your strength and stamina back, just keep walking a little further each day. Glad you are back with us!

To me what you described is a full on COVID-19 infection. The shots undoubtedly did you no good if you had gotten that sick. You are lucky that you visited the fast care as a last ditched effort. They saved your life, and that ER doctor needs to be reported. Makes me wonder how many have died due to incompetence like you described. This thinking that people can just be sent homes without med's could actually turn into a death sentence quick. No one knows how sick a person might get, and post infection medicine should be given right away. I don't care if it's nothing but a Z-pack or anti-pneumonia pills etc. A breathing steroid for the lungs should be issued early on, and yes therapeutics of various types given that might work hopefully. Let you go home with no meds ? That's Preposterous. Even I was given doxycycline before I even got my test results back that said I had it.

I was so weak, so sick, and so frustrated and being sent home with no meds I almost didn't go to tge urgent Care, doubting they would do anything, either. My daughter wouldn't let me quit, though. I credit her with my getting better.

Continue to grow in strength and get better!

The vaccines do not prevent anyone from getting sick,
When I was hospitalized, I got to know many of the nurses. I learned from them that most of them on the covid floor had gotten sick, some really sick, even they were all vaxxed. I learned from the ambulance crew who hauled me in that they were picking up an even covid mixture of vaxxed and unvaxxed, fat and skinny, middle aged, and old. Oddly, the doctor in charge of my case claimed that no vaccinated people had ever been hospitalized for covid in that hospital. I couldn't believe he was telling me this bs after all the nurses and ambulance crew had already said otherwise.

Our hospital system is designed to kill people who get COVID. They won’t treat you hardly at all. Being put on a ventilator is basically a death sentence.

Best to just use those Front Line Doctors or whatever to get some Ivermectin.

My dad got the Omicron last week. He’s about 70 years old, unvaccinated. He didn’t use any meds and got over it in two days.

Sounds like you had an incompetent doctor. I would have been fuming. This is why i always seek a second opinion and a third if need be. Eventually you'll find a doctor who is competent. And yes, it's a good thing you got vaccinated, or you'd likely be on a ventilator, and 6 feet under not long after. I wonder if you got delta or omicron.
