"Most voters approve of President Trump’s decision to use federal agents to fight the growing violent crime in some major cities. They also believe many of these cities bring the criminal problems onto themselves.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters think federal law enforcement officials should be used to fight the growing level of violent crime in several major cities since the cities appear unable or unwilling to handle the problem themselves. Thirty-six percent (36%) oppose this federal anti-crime help.(To see survey question wording, click here.)

Eighty percent (80%) of Republicans favor the use of federal law enforcement in these cities, all of which are currently run by Democrat politicians. Democrats by a 53% to 39% margin are opposed. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 48% want the feds to get involved; 39% do not.

fifty-one percent (51%) of all voters agree that government policies and practices encourage violent crime in some cities and states more than others. Just 24% disagree, while another 24% are undecided."

So most voters think Crazy Nancy is , well, just crazy.

The whole point of the Constitution is to protect us from what "most voters think".

Oh gawd no. That's what progressives and socialists are selling - but no. The last thing we want is everything being decided democratically. The Constitution set strict limits on that. On purpose. Read the Federalist papers.

Better yet read the Constitution and you will find that it does provide for a stable framework for a democratic republic in which what most people think is the deciding factor in policy decisions.

I don't believe in any polls, but phone results are much more reliable than online since that can be easily manipulated. On a personal note, I don't know anybody that's against Trump sending in federal authorities to defend federal property. After all, if the feds can't do it, who can?

The Democrats have allowed this to continue in their cities for two months now; all over one cop killing one suspect that not one protester ever knew, but I'm sure most don't even know the name of.

They are using this guy as a cheap excuse to be uncivilized and act with impunity. The officer was arrested, charged with murder, and there is no reason to protest anything.

The fact is, Chauvin will be acquitted and police officers nearly always are in these kinds of cases, because the autopsy showed that Floyd did not die of asphyxiation so the knee on the neck did not kill him, but Floyd's family will collect millions in the civil suit, and that's how these cases nearly always end because the outrage on the street is rarely consistent with the facts of the case. So what they want is to lynch the cop regardless of the facts of the case.

As you point out, it is ridiculous to protest police brutality because it is already illegal and it is punished when it is proven. As for the other nonsense slogans, such as systemic racism, white privilege, etc. they are just scams Democratic politicians are running on black people to get their support. There are no protests and there are no protesters since there is nothing to protest; there are just large scale group temper tantrums being encouraged by unprincipled Democratic politicians like Crazy Nancy and Creepy Joe.

The majority is always wrong.

There's actually a great TED Talk about why that is, if anybody feels like looking for it.

I think President Trump will need to activate The Insurrection Act and use the US Military in the Cities before this spreads out throughout the whole Country and a violent bloody Civil War starts in earnest.

Unless you know something that I haven't read yet, the autopsy report stated that the knee on the neck was a contributing cause. He was tanked up on drugs, had medical conditions that also contributed, but I don't think the officer is off the hook just yet.

As for the assisting officers, they are good as released. One of them even asked Chauvin if he should let up on Floyd. The officer responded that no he shouldn't. The assisting offers were all out ranked by this guy. They had no ability to stop him from keeping his knee on Floyd. They are all innocent.

Yes, the city will settle out of court like they always do for political reasons. We suffered the same thing here in the Tamir Rice case, where the officer was found not-guilty of wrongdoing, and the city still paid the lowlife mother 5 million bucks.

I'd approve of it to.

If:

They worked with LEO's on the ground to coordinate the efforts
Arrested persons were mirandized.
You knew who was arresting you so those who were not arrested knew who to call to arrange bail, check on your welfare, etc...
Were not placing people into unmarked vans and driving off

We've had organized police for almost 200 years in the nation. These are not new concepts.

Yes we have, and what do these protestors and rioters do when they see a police car?

Now perhaps you understand why they use unmarked vehicles.
