Male mosquitoes never bite, and as it turns out, their main source of food is actually nectar from plants. While mosquitoes don’t gather pollen like bees, they do fly from flower to flower to feed, transporting pollen from one blossom to another along the way.

But female mosquitos do bite! You can't separate one from another, you wipe them out completely or just keep their population at bay. But they all can spread diseases and parasites. When one of these little guys infects you with staphylococcus, you won't be so nice to him anymore.
Here's fun fact for you: according to this article female mosquitos are more attracted to the smell of sweat and alcohol. Things to consider when traveling to Atlanta nowadays.
