The biggest majority of it's members are all scam artists just interested in seeing how much money they can steal and get away with. The UN building should be torn down and that land made into a playground. Then it's "soil" would have a purpose.

We would coordinate food and humanitarian drops or ground logistics, the UN was supposed to protect and distribute it, but if any poxy Serb para military unit fronted up with two men or more they just sat there and let them take it.

Now, I will say I don’t blame the guys wearing those powder blue helmets, most were brave and they wanted to do something, but the UN bureaucracy and the Security Council put them there under conditions that meant they simply had to sit back and watch ethnic cleansing and call it peace.

We came under attack one night in Mogadishu in 93' and a UN tank column was flanking the technicals that were attacking us.

I assumed they were looking to get in behind them and lay waste to them....but instead they kept driving off into whatever hole they felt safe in.

Nope...we tried to train them while we were there but they were worthless.

The Pakistanis got a bunch of APCs that we had requested and we had to train them how to fire 50 cals. They refused to fire them full-auto. They only would fire them one round at a time.

The Canadians were too few. We liked them. The French were just troublemakers. The Germans didn't even carry weapons. The Austrialians had their shit together but almost all of them were way up North.

So we were left with a bunch of scared Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. And we were the only force in country with zero armor....as per Clinton's directives.

The UN are usually the guys who leave when people really need them or in some cases they are the people who make the situation worse for the people who believe in them for their protection: it happened to belgians UN forces as well as in rwanda, people went inside UN camps where they thought were safe and when it was surrounded by ennemies the political leaders of the UN-nations decide to withdraw their troops ... leaving the fugitives ready for a massacre. So forgive me for not having much faith in the UN

I hope you don't misunderstand me: I have nothing against people who serve / served in the UN, I m disgusted by the organisation itself (mainly because of its many repeated failures)
