More than 10,000 asylum seekers have been returned to Mexico by U.S. authorities to await court hearings as the Trump administration prepares for the immediate expansion of the controversial practice — known as "Remain in Mexico" — along the entire southern border.

The longest journey starts with a single step, and inertia is a VERY powerful force. That is why the lefties are unwilling to let Trump build a single foot of new border wall. They sense (rightly) that once it gets in motion, it will pick up momentum. Right now, Trump has to deal with the current inertia (do nothing). The first 10,000 sent back is a lot harder than the 100,000 that come next.

Considering that Trump has built 190 miles of wall already the wall is being built at a furious rate. The fact the US is assisting Mexico with temporary housing structures and basic needs will keep them on the Mexico side of the border. Rapid wall building and keeping them on the Mexico side... I am happy that 10,000 were sent back in the last few days.. This should take the strain off our Border control agents and get them back out patrolling and doing interdiction.

I bet those people were surprised that they were moved back across the border... And I am all for it!

The message wont take long now to filter back to their home countries.... NO FREE RIDE... Unless its back to your country of origin. And even that free ride may be very short into Mexico.

WOW....

Border patrol is sending them back after their three day medical and asylum evaluation initial appearance for claim. SO they are getting medical treatment before being returned and Mexico is communicating with us for proper placement and housing of those making a calming for asylum.

Those people who's claims are denied are returned to their country of origin or they can stay in Mexico. All are fingerprinted and pictured before being returned to Mexico or being deported to their home countries..

This should slow the immigration crises to a drip..

Still have to get the wall built as they are right across the border and will try again to enter undetected.

Congress should do something. Make it harder; make it easier. It doesn't matter. The expectation that the laws could change to favor illegals encourages them to try.
