For a study of the Old Testament, I'm using Prager's book 'Genesis' as he gives translations of the Hebrew.

It has been my experience that progressive church denominations exhibit much more love for Jews and Muslims and are critical of intolerance of right wing evangelical thought if it is unaccepting of different religions and foreigners.

I'll add that I subscribe to over a dozen sermon podcasts of these progressive denominations. With Jesus being a Jew, on occasion a rabbi would be guest to preach the sermon providing their message on a portion of the Old Testament.
