Handouts never helped anybody… You watch far too many Hollywood movies made by child molesting Hollywood typesThere is an mall in downtown Seattle that has an ongoing problem with the homeless coming onto the property, some of whom use it for illicit activities although they often would just want to use the restrooms, recharge their mobile devices and maybe just rest for a moment or two. One of the primary concerns was the addicts using the restrooms to shoot up.What exactly is communist about bathrooms being able to be used by all?
From a security standpoint it becomes more difficult to protect a property or their customers who frequent the establishments within when anyone off the streets can come in and just loiter. I've seen security evict individuals from the mall, maybe because of past encounters, even when they made a purchase from the food court and I've observed individuals who were obviously not customers rolling through a very high end, well known & exclusive jewelry store, checking out the security cameras and attempting to ask questions about security protocols, at times making threats and causing a disruption.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if anyone will test Starbucks' new policy because they essentially have gone from being a private property for the service and convenience of their customers (free wi-fi for example) retaining the right to deny anyone service, within the law of course, as do all private companies, to a public facility that is open to all unless in their new policy they still retain the right to refuse service or remove individuals from the property for specific reasons such as being disruptive, engaging in unlawful activity on the property, etc.
Teaching their employees about the laws surrounding places of public accomodations and not to be presumptuous racists or bigots, in my opinion, would have been the better course of action. I just fear that they're going to get sued for some totally bogus reason and in the interim the criminal element will take complete advantage of this new policy to the detriment of both the company and their customers.

And yet, christians refuse to help the homeless. Churches lock their doors tight against people who actually need their help. All that property they don't pay taxes on sits empty. The billions we are forced to spend on their damn holidays could actually go toward doing what Jesus taught.
Never happen though. Especially now with the creepy fundies hate groups trying to force us all to bow to their beliefs.
