In a Republic, actually
“Trump on Saturday raised questions about a lack of due process after two White House aides resigned this week following allegations of past domestic abuse.”

Trump questions lack of 'due process' after two aides resign over past allegations

Due process applies only when a defendant is in jeopardy of being subject to a fine, imprisonment, or losing his life if convicted; or where government seeks to take private property.

Politicians embroiled in political scandals are not entitled to ‘due process’ because government is not seeking punitive actions against them.

Trump is of course ignorant of this fact, and looks ridiculous and foolish whining about it as a consequent.

So the way we prove guilt means nothing? What else do you think politicians should abandon?

No. Here's where reading really pays off. There is no trial involved in allegations. There were restraining orders and there was a legal complaint. But no trial, otherwise known as...DUE PROCESS.

-------------------------------------------------- i think that TRUMP knows the difference . The only thing is that lefty media takes up the cause as they reports and keep reporting the accusations as if thats all the proof that is needed Clayton .

Trump was telling people not to make assumptions of guilt. That is the courts job.

He was not addressing the security clearance issues that are job related and required. The appearance/suspect of impropriety makes the person a potential subject to blackmail and makes them a security risk. His firing was due to the issues that arose out of security concerns and do not reflect on his innocence or guilt..

You leftards will blow anything out of context for your agenda...

‘Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) went after President Trump on Saturday for his tweet questioning a lack of "due process" in abuse claims, saying that Congress could hold hearings about sexual misconduct allegations against him if he wanted due process.

“The President has shown through words and actions that he doesn’t value women. It’s not surprising that he doesn’t believe survivors or understand the national conversation that is happening,” Gillibrand tweeted.

“If he wants due process for the over dozen sexual assault allegations against him, let’s have Congressional hearings tomorrow,” she continued. “I would support that and my colleagues should too.”’

Gillibrand: If Trump wants due process, we'll have hearings on allegations against him

Sounds good.

This PC way of handling it is more like mob rule, a chance of innocence is not there, never offered up as a possibility.
Do you prefer it that way?

Yep, a lot of innocent people are going to be destroyed because of this shit.

There's a reason we take things through a court of law to weigh the evidence! A word shouldn't be enough to destroy peoples lives.

Men deserve to be judged by their peers in a court of law.

I believe the women. They had restraining orders let, they have photos of their wounds.

I think someone would have to swallow mighty hard to stick up for a wife beater. That moral bar is now just a,line in the dirt to folks who would use partisan politics as a metric of innocence.

Does that sentiment apply in all cases?

I was not asking about a specific case.

I'm surprised about this. Usually Trump handles words with two syllables pretty well....

Penalty without process is what he was complaining about, according to legal standards these men are innocent. Maybe it's time to tell people to just keep their mouths shut if they are unwilling to pursue a criminal complaint. Simple allegations should not be enough to deprive a person of their livelihood.

If you are going to post about Hillary Clinton, you should start your own thread. but since you have brought it up, trump has been referring to her as "Crooked Hillary" for 2 years now, and I do not recall her ever being indicted for anything.

Your ignorance is on full display. May want to cover that up.
