Former Israeli Minister Could be Arrested for War Crimes

The former Israeli official would have ordered the killing of 70 Palestinians per day. Israeli TV channels revealed Sunday that former Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz could be arrested for war crimes. Mofaz arrived on Saturday evening in London, England, where he will speak at a conference. The former minister was greeted in the airport by officials from the Israeli Embassy. The Israeli Foreign Ministry said it is prepared for any possibility. So far the Netanyahu government has not been able to secure immunity for the former official, which has raised concerns amongst diplomats and officials. The former minister is accused of committing war crimes during his time as head of the Israeli Defense Force, in which he directed attacks against Palestine during the Al-Aqsa Intifada, between 2000 and 2005.
