I am voting 3rd party from here on out.....I am an independent. Since both parties have moved to extremes neither offers me a decent choice. The OP is offbase.

Moderates are the people who are generally okay with compromising on all of the really bad anti-liberty legislation coming out of Washington from both parties.

I’m an Independent as well. There is no Conservative party, so I largely end up ignoring the elections because I cannot hold my nose and vote for either party. Especially here in the Communistwealth of Taxachusetts.

Politics today is about one thing and one thing only....the dollar. Big lobbyists use big money to ensure the rich get richer. Then they tell the average workers things like Medicare and social security are bad. Yet how many working class retired folk depend on them to survive. Take those two things away and the country plunges into complete chaos and the rich politicians who can't wait to cut those things keep telling is how bad they are. It goes on and on.

Sorry bout that,

  1. So the Independents are Moderates to the Democrats.
  2. Are they Moderates to the Republicans as well?
  3. Independents need to use their heads, vote for Republicans or vote for losing your country.
  4. Democrats are socialist.
  5. Read all about it here and here:
  6. exhibit (A) Jimmy Carter cautions Democrats not to scare off moderates
  7. exhibit (B) Jim Carrey tells Democrats: ‘We have to say yes to socialism’
  8. Are the Moderates / Independents socialist?

Moderates and Independents are very different in some ways. Independents have a tendency to have problems with both major political parties, where moderates tend to want the two major political parties to work together. A moderate is someone a political candidate is more likely to sway in a vote or support, where an Independent is more likely to vote consistently with the party that best represents their Independent stance out of necessity (or lack of a better choice).

In a way, Independents just don't have representation strong enough to support their views or direction. When an Independent representative is elected, they are most likely a stark opposite of their opponent in policy, and don't represent the desire to work with who it was they defeated in most cases.

A moderate's view of policy or legislation is more likely to change as cooperation is achieved or negotiated, where an Independent is more reliant on principle over policy.

A vote for the Democratic Party from now on until the foreseeable future, regardless of any apologist self-identification as classically Liberal, a moderate or an independent, is a vote of agreement with and approval of by association, revolutionary radical postmodernist Marxism, cultural, ideological and political.

Since the chances of any third party candidate reaching the presidency at this time are slim to none, you are merely assisting one of the two primary party's candidate with your vote.

Choose wisely.

I think he's right to vote 3rd party. There's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and the Republicans.

Heck, I voted for a guy who wasn't even running in the 2016 and he ended up with 1 electoral vote. You can't tell me that my vote didn't count.

People who see the false left/right paradigm for what it is aren't interested in just winning and getting elected. They're the people who are more interested in changing the course of history.

I will vote for no one associated with the Democratic Party. The candidate himself could be a combination of Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi. but he will drag that flagitious, verminous and feculent party into office with him.

Good for you. We have one more who can see. It's a glorious day.

My view of us independents is that we are like a governor on an engine. We keep things in control which can be seen by looking how few times the same political party kept control of the White House for more than 2 consecutive terms. It is our way of moderating things.

The course of history is being changed right now.

Bottom line: everyone votes their wallet, period.
-------------------------------------- yeah , heard that said and if voting the wallet those who vote their wallets as their only consideration are stupid in my opinion Kyzr . ---------------- just a comment .

--------------------------------------------- Moderates , i see them as 'libs and lefties' and worse as they have no real beliefs . Same for 'bush type conservatives' who are really 'moderates' .
