MLK- proud gun owner

I think its pretty misleading that this critical part of the conservative idol is ignored nowadays. They should have sculpted an AK47 on his memorial in Washington DC to show him as the badass he was.

On civil rights leader and gun-owner Martin Luther King, Jr.

He probably knew better than most the kinds of danger an outspoken black man in his time faced. From many corners, as we all sadly know now based on his assassin.

This is one of the unique aspect of America, you're independent and you should be allowed to fend for yourself.

Owning a firearm doesn't make you a 'bad-ass'. If it has any effect on your arse at all, you're not using it correctly.

Owning a firearm doesn't change who you are any more than owning a power saw.

It illustrates (or at least should) that despite all of the constant arguing about red v. blue and absolute truths and absolute falsehoods; we’re all shades of purple surrounded by shades of gray.

I’ve long since stated the in part of this nation, not having a firearm is irresponsible. If you’re walking what had to be one of the toughest beats in the history of the nation; it’s pretty dumb not to have a gun.
