Interestingly, this is a bi-partisan bill, supported by both Republicans and Democrats in the Missouri state legislature. Voters will get to vote as to whether or not the state should invalidate the health care mandate and pass a law nullifying the Federal government from forcing people to buy health insurance. A few states have already done this and others have similar ballot initiatives this year including my own. Normally, when a state tries to defy the federal government, the feds retaliate by threatening to withhold funds from the state. In this case though, how are they going to push back when they've got a dozen or more states telling them to go to hell? It's going to be interesting to see how this eventually plays out.
