Michelle Obama knocks it out of the ball park

I remember the days when the op pretended to be a conservative..... ahhh the good old days!

Why do libs do that? Is their ideology so.boring and useless?
I dunno.

We have fake Jake, g5000 & now oreo. But I'm beginning to think oreo is actually a paid shill. And that is not something I've ever thought of any poster.
What's wrong with you. Whether or not you like the current potus or Hillary, THAT was a GD speech. That was a speech Reagan could have made (with some personal alterations). What's funny (literally) is when Michelle first came on the stage 8 years ago, she said she could finally be proud to be an American. I don't know if something changed, but she sure gets it now ... even if Trump has no clue.
I already addressed he speech in my own thread. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? SOMEHOW YOUR STUPID OLD ASS DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING.
You jump in the middle of a discussion armed with the brain of a senile old man.

Right- how dare anyone expect you to actually address the topic of the thread when you have done so in another thread......
:boohoo:

I caught about 30 seconds of her speech when I went past the wifes tv.

She was saying something about waking up in a house built by slaves.

If she finds it that offensive, why doesnt' she move out?
It was mostly built by Europeans(From Ireland, Scotland, etc.) and local white laborers and artisans from Virginia and Maryland... she's race-baiting, as we've come to expect from the Obamas.

Wrong, it was built by slaves.

Michelle Obama correct that White House built by slaves
I didn't say slaves weren't involved, I said it was mostly built by white people. Her claim that it was built by slaves, without any exposition, heavily implies that it was built SOLELY by slaves, when in fact, only a very small part of the work force was slaves. So, no, she is still mostly wrong, and still entirely race-baiting.
She didn't find it offensive, for goodness sake! She was saying and showing how GREAT WE ARE....HOW FAR WE HAVE COME, in improving ourselves with positions we once had...on slavery. It was a compliment.

And from that factcheck, it says:

The White House Historical Association -- a private preservation and educational group for the presidential residence complex -- has a web page devoted to the question, "Did slaves build the White House?"

It reads in part: "Construction on the president's house began in 1792 in Washington, D.C., a new capital situated in a sparsely settled region far from a major population center. The decision to place the capital on land ceded by two slave states -- Virginia and Maryland -- ultimately influenced the acquisition of laborers to construct its public buildings.

"The D.C. commissioners, charged by Congress with building the new city under the direction of the president, initially planned to import workers from Europe to meet their labor needs. However, response to recruitment was dismal and soon they turned to African American(s) — enslaved and free — to provide the bulk of labor that built the White House, the United States Capitol, and other early government buildings."
Slaves weren't even added until the building was nearly complete. Also, the image at the bottom only even lists three slaves. Also, the slaves that did work on the White House were paid slaves, so it can't even really be called Slave Labor.
Michelle Obama Claims the White House Was ‘Built by Slaves’... But...
The link I provide above actually cites your link as part of the evidence that the workforce was mostly white.

Look I can see and smell desperation, and Trump supporters have every right to feel that way. After all, 54% of the Republican party cast a vote for other candidates, you have the NEVER Trump Republicans that you'll never convince to vote for Donald Trump.

But to NOMINATE a nominee that is so vocally racist & bigoted, and then come back and make a comment about her comment regarding slaves building the White House, when it was in context of her stating look how far America has come and how great this nation really is.

You voted for Trump, you nominated him and now you OWN everything he says from here on out.

It's like one Reich wing talk radio show host brought up that she had her right hand a little too high over her heart when the Pledge was being read--LOL That is desperation. They cannot promote Trump and they cannot defend him. And you trying to label Michelle Obama a racist isn't working either.

Yeah some of these pictures are way to small for me to read--and then you get the typical one liner--where I am supposed to read someone's mind and they get a little frustrating. If I comment in a negative way--it's because I can't see it--LOL

I like my pictures big like this one.

ALL of those things indicate the slaves were there FROM THE BEGINNING, not just later Pumpkin.

Firstly, his primary results in open primaries being consistently higher is evidence that he was nominated by Democrats. Secondly, he has said nothing racist, and the people claiming that can never quote a single racist thing he has said. Thirdly, do I have to keep explaining how much closer the Democrat party is to the Nazis? By this point, your double standards and inability to learn are actually starting to get on my nerves, and I try to have a lot of patience. I'm fairly certain I've explained it to you three times by now, in detail.

On the upside, if we get your candidate, we get to enjoy more of Hillary's totally-not-racist black voice, and the DNC's continuing outreach to "Taco Bowls".

Even if that's true, the 'slaves' were still paid, as indicated by the payroll you linked. Not slaves if their labor is paid for.

This is one of the most inspiring speech's I've ever heard at any convention. Michelle Obama touches base with angry Sanders supporters, quietly hits Trump's tweety fingers, and just nailed it to the wall for Hillary Clinton.

Fantastic speech!

Watch Michelle Obama's Powerful Speech at DNC

Seemed like virtually every line was a crock of sh** as I watched it, tbh. Total pandering.

So to you it is a crock of shit that America is great?

She wasn't so proud of it eight years ago. What changed?

If you don't think Donald Trump has said anything racist, you aren't listening. There are reasons why Donald has the support of the KKK, and every white supremacist on this board. Saying that Mexicans illegal immigrants are rapists and criminals, is racist. That Muslims immigration must be banned to prevent terrorism, is racist.

You can all Democrats "Nazis" until the cows come home but that won't make it so. Democrats are not zenophobic, issolationist, or racist.

The DNC reference to "Taco Bowl Outreach" was in reference to the Donald's showing his love of Mexicans on Cinquo de Mayo.

But keep thinking you're winning. It sure worked for Romney.

This is one of the most inspiring speech's I've ever heard at any convention. Michelle Obama touches base with angry Sanders supporters, quietly hits Trump's tweety fingers, and just nailed it to the wall for Hillary Clinton.

Fantastic speech!

Seemed like virtually every line was a crock of sh** as I watched it, tbh. Total pandering.

So to you it is a crock of shit that America is great?

She wasn't so proud of it eight years ago. What changed?

Another desperate comment--to deflect. It's because you have nominated a candidate that you can't promote or defend--so you are now forced to only attack the opposition, and you're running out of ammunition for that too.

Trump is even losing the states that Romney won, and they still think they can win--LOL. For the first time in 60 years, white educated voters are running away from the Republican party.

Asking for supporting evidence to a one lined direct assessment is deflecting? You're an idiot.
