If we separated crazy people that are a danger to themselves or others then this wouldn't have happened. He would have been somewhere that's equipped to deal with him in a safe manner for themselves and for him.

If a person comes at a cop with intent to hurt or kill someone then of course the officer is going to shoot them. If you go at a cop then you obviously are a danger and in order to protect themselves and the public that cop is going to shoot.

You can't complain about nutballs doing crazy shit and getting shot when you refuse to separate them from the rest of society.

And that's our problem with society. We won't treat criminals, dopeheads and crazy people like what they are.

The reality is that we don't invest in mental health, so incidents like this will happen. We just let the mentally ill fend for themselves, and wait for tragedies to unfold.
