In 2006 mexico intended to show the power of the illegals by having their grand march. They would close their businesses, stay home from work and school. They would march in the streets and not go shopping.

Yes, they did put 500,000 people in the street. The freeways were clear. The malls were a pleasure. Merchants reported a dramatic decrease in shoplifting. Classes in schools were calm. Even gang violence was down. As it turns out, life without illegals was pretty damn good.

There were no more grand marches. I suggest that mexico get the border closed. It would be a vacation for the rest of the country.
