You remembered wrong. Fonda is essentially like Sean Penn. She uses these issues to gain wealth and fame in her career. Every liberal, communist, or anti-American cause she catches wind of, she's on it like hair on a Gorilla. Some folks in Hollywood get gigs by taking up these causes or playing a part that represents a special interest group. Since she isn't the greatest actress out there she has to take up liberal/progressive causes.

How about the CIA or the FBI or some rogue federal enforcement agency like the ATF? They shot Randy weaver's son in the back and took out his wife with a shot to the face while she was holding a 18 month old baby in her arms and that was during a republican administration. Who could forget tanks and poison gas and attack helicopters authorized by Clinton at Waco? A video game drone strike is a piece of cake in a gigantic bureaucracy.
