An example of the extreme on social reform in Norway. In this case the state has chosen to stop playing by their own rules and so will be questioned with a lawsuit.

Instead of being tempted to backslide with cruel and unusual punishment, Norway can still choose to stand proudly by their success.

The contrast in attitudes America is worth mentioning here, in the interest of comparing failure with successful socially responsible government.

Success at what? Allowing a vicious creature to exist?

Success with social reform of their justice system.

Posted here to show the contrast with the opposite extreme practiced by America.

Frankly, it's surprising that any American would acknowledge this topic.

There's really just no effective counter argument against social success that benefits all.

It can be relegated to conspiracy theories or the Badlands but it can't be erased from enquiring minds!

Especially in a country with approaching vigilante justice and anarchy fast approaching.[/B]

They should simply kill the SOB and be done with it.

The modern world has rejected the death penalty. It is roundly proven to be a failure.

That's the sort of comment that I was hoping for. It's the opposite extreme of success.
The death penalty is not a failure. Every piece of shit that was sentenced to death...is dead now.

I think he should undergo the ancient Viking punishment of being blood eagled.

What works on Nordics won't work on our polyglot society, something the Nordics will soon learn if they don't assimilate their new immigrants.

Norway will experience much, much fewer repeat offenders and consequently many fewer mass murders.

Political dogma comes back to bite Americans for not making adjustments that are proven to bring success.

And so all we get here so far is frantic appeals to increase the rate of failure.
