In light of allegations of sexual assault, 65 women say Kavanaugh always “treated women with respect.”

Sixty-five women who knew Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in high school have testified to his good character in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, in light of recently surfaced allegations that he tried to force himself on a girl during his time at Georgetown Preparatory School, an all-boys school in Bethesda, Maryland.

So, if 65 people think you're a good person, you're a good person even if a different person got sexually harassed?

Geez they hope to post a rapist to serve from power for the rest of his life? Despicable, but makes sense considering the hostility the GOP has shown to the #metoo movement.

Prove he's a rapist mother fucker, or STFU !

The Democratic Party makes these accusations on every Republican, so how would the GOP not be prepared? This card is played all the time, nothing new.

If the President's staff had sent a phony letter to Feinstein, figuring she would fall for the bait, why wouldn't they have a response ready?

Trump was trolling the old lady from California, and knew how she would look foolish leaking the letter.

This letter, IMHO, was a page borrowed from Karl Rove's playbook when he fed Rather and Mapes the phony Killian letters. During that caper, if you'll remember, the letters were exposed as a fraud within an hour after Rather swore to their authenticity on CBS.

The Honorable Charles Grassley, Chairman Committee on the Judiciary United States Senate 135 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510

The Honorable Dianne Feinstein, Ranking Member Committee on the Judiciary United States Senate 331 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510
Dear Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Feinstein:

We are women who have known Brett Kavanaugh for more than 35 years and knew him while he attended high school between 1979 and 1983. For the entire time we have known Brett Kavanaugh, he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect. We strongly believe it is important to convey this information to the Committee at this time. Brett attended Georgetown Prep, an all-boys high school in Rockville, Maryland. He was an outstanding student and athlete with a wide circle of friends. Almost all of us attended allgirls high schools in the area. We knew Brett well through social events, sports, church, and various other activities. Many of us have remained close friends with him and his family over the years. Through the more than 35 years we have known him, Brett has stood out for his friendship, character, and integrity. In particular, he has always treated women with decency and respect. That was true when he was in high school, and it has remained true to this day. The signers of this letter hold a broad range of political views. Many of us are not lawyers, but we know Brett Kavanaugh as a person. And he has always been a good person.
Sincerely,"

So far no one has made a credible case against it, it might be quick but that doesn't disprove it.

At the other end is an allegation (unsupported) from an woman who is a mystery (she real?) with a letter (never produced) making claims of something against Kavanaugh at nearly the last minute.

What do YOU think?

:aug08_031:

Along the same lines, millions of people could testify that Jeffery Dahmer didn't eat them.

Feinstein had the chance to bring it up to Kavenaugh's face and chose to release this anonymous accusation from a safe distance. All the while keep in mind the Democrats promised before hand that they would obstruct the nomination regardless. Why does anyone defend Feinstein on this? unless they are a partisan hack?

if any of that were true about Kavenaugh and he had a character flaw there would be women lining up against him. Face it. while the Democrats are aligning themselves against Kavenaugh, it's really all about TRUMP.

I've seen the Dems scrape the bottom of the barrel but with this, they blew a hole threw the barrel and are now sucking sludge out of the sewer.

High school is fair game--making up junk about what someone did in HIGH SCHOOL.

Dear Dems, you won't like this game turned on you. We play hardball now too. You. Won't. Like. It.

65 brainwashed evangelical females defend Kavenaugh......who'd have guessed?
`

I'm an evangelical female. Tell me how I'm brainwashed. Tell you what, we'll trade. You tell me how I'm brainwashed first, and assuming you're a liberal female Democrat, I'll tell YOU how you are brainwashed second. Then we'll let the board decide who is more brainwashed, shall we?

You first. Go.

Oh. Did Republicans make up lies about Garland in high school so as to keep him from getting confirmed? I missed that.

a) I'm not a democrat or republican. b) I grew up with strict evangelical parental units whereby the females were totally devoted to the word of their OT god, as told to them by their misogynistic male congregation. c) I mean these were like brainless Stepford wives.

Sorry, but I just cannot take anything you say seriously, however amusing it is.

1. What are "parental units"? Are they like units of measure? Like ounces or grams? What is going on?

2. You can trust that evangelical women, like me, are totally devoted to God. This is not "told to us by our misogynistic male congregation"--we know how to read. It's in the Bible. That's where we read it.

3. How do you know they were "brainless Stepford wives"? Weren't you a child? What did you know of it, being yourself a child?
