On top of that, we saw the Goobers whine, ever more stridently, about the "secrecy" of closed-door depositions, which didn't prevent them from denouncing the public hearings as "Show Trials". Let that simmer for a while. Mac thinks, if independents won't by their majority support impeachment, the effort should be aborted (though he is too intellectually lazy to make his argument). Both think, the brazen abuse of office in conjunction with the undermining of the national security of the U.S. of A., as demonstrated during two weeks of hearings, is just peanuts. Nothing to see here, go away!

So, why does that poll matter? If (IF!) it accurately reflects where the population stands on that issue, it demonstrates that the danger to the Republic is far greater than was previously known, since significant parts of the population fall, in their obtuseness and moral spinelessness, somewhere between Jim and Mac, seemingly blithely unconcerned with the example as set at the top of the Executive.
