Liberals are more concerned with instituting global socialism than moving humanity forward. They say they want to control economic growth for the environment. That's a crock. They're mostly just communists, having no true understanding of the damage totalitarian governments do to the enterprise of human innovation. In fact, they villify innovation. The evil rich and all that.

No links here. It's just true.

hi mr right wing man

DK is taking a well deserved nap
thats why he hasnt been the first to answer your post (lol)

:p:

Clear out your PM box, btw.

I agree on the environment. I am for a clean environment, and I'm sure some liberals are sincere about that, too. But many use "environmental" concerns as a ruse to interfere with American business. Hatred of initiative and enterprise drives many of them to push for anti-business "environmental" rules.

There ideal dream is to be the EU. To have universal healthcare, ultra high taxes, and welfare programs out the ass. There goal is to become a Communist state without all that Killing and Ruling with and Iron thumb. The problem is that communism doesnt work without someone oppressing your freedoms. When the populace has a voice, they will express their ideas for freedom. If a true communist state were to be enacted as the Democrats are seeking, then they would need to suppress all those who oppose them through slander, lies or whatever means neccessary to keep their communist state intact. Their dream is to have "One Nation for the State with Liberty and Justice for some and abject poverty and despair for most". That would be our new pledge of allegiance.

Remember, we DO have judges claiming that very thing in statements regarding the Texas sodomy law.

As for this being a great blanket statement, I am sure it applies to the liberals with power, but the citizens are misled, as they are from BOTH sides about what the real conservative and liberal plans are.

We certainly do see a lot of liberals whose agenda is exactly waht you outlined. Not all liberals, however, are eco-radicals. Not all liberals are hardcore socialists or pinko-commies either. However, I certainly do not agree with the American Left's premise that capitalism is inherently evil.

Everyone that thinks liberals want communism are either idiots or have no idea what communism is.

rightwingavenger, I know you're trying to bait liberals here, but if the left isn't for pushing humanity forward, then why isn't there child labor anymore?

Because that wouldn't be "PC." They'd rather make both children's parents work 60 hours per week, only to tax it all away so the lazy can be lazier. It's their right, you know.

yeah, why should parents have to work 60 hours a week when we can make the brats work half that time.

Um, you do realize there's a difference between socialism and communism right? You do realize that many countries in Europe are what we call Social democracies, I hope? This means that while they have some government owned businesses, universal health care, and strict environmental laws, they still have a largely capitalist economy and free elections. I find it disconcerting that so many conservatives do not understand that you can't use the words socialism and communism interchangeably. They are two different things. And tell me something, how does leaving the environment open to be trashed for profit advance humanity? How does forcing people to work 60 or 70 hours a week advance humanity? How does allowing companies to pay children almost nothing to produce products to be exported to the U.S. advance humanity?

not much.

Yeah, and they're too socialistic. They're notions of individual rights are a little off; some of they're very high tax rates amount to a violation of individual rights, in my opinion.
This means that while they have some government owned businesses, universal health care, and strict environmental laws, they still have a largely capitalist economy and free elections.
And they're taxes are too high and the cradle to grave forced bill of government services robs people of their initiative.
I find it disconcerting that so many conservatives do not understand that you can't use the words socialism and communism interchangeably.
Be disconcerted. They're both stupid, that's why I use them interchageably.
They are two different things. And tell me something, how does leaving the environment open to be trashed for profit advance humanity?
How does telling humans that they can't get that new factory job to feed their families because the wackos have disallowed it advance humanity?
How does forcing people to work 60 or 70 hours a week advance humanity?
You can quit jobs where I'm from. Or you can start your own thing.
How does allowing companies to pay children almost nothing to produce products to be exported to the U.S. advance humanity?
At least they're working.

You do realize that is like saying there is a difference between windows Millenium and windows 98, right? You do realize there are operating systems like windows 2000, right?

The reality is 98 and millenium are both crap, full of holes, and waste your time and money, and secure everything falsely through obscurity.

The reality is this is socialism and communism as well. -2 different shades of the same color that inevitably slide into one another. They ALSO waste your time and money and falsely claim to provide security.

Windows 2000? Better than the other 2, but is still a poor choice for any real serious activity because it is still a false sense of security and STILL requires frequent reboots due to poor asset management even though it was better than the other 2. This is identical to your "social democracy".

Is there anything else about socialism and its failings you would like to know?

I am a firm believer that you can understand ANYTHING if given a proper model.

In that respect, I am not a shooting star, but one of many grains of sand on a beach.

Thanks for the compliment, though!

Who isn't for a clean environment? its deffinately not businesses. If the environment is destroyed then who is going to be around to profit off of?

Capitalism is what is creating the expanding forests. Because those who cut down trees plant more in their stead to make sure they have business later on.

Limbaugh once said the easiest way to bring endangered species back from the brink would to begin eating them. If there is a market for them there will be people who breed them. it makes sense in theory although im sure there would be major problems in practice.

Look at the communist agenda and look at the agenda of the liberals and that people dont know what communism is.

Unless black and white are two different shades of the same color, I'm afraid that description does not match the differences between socialism and communism. Socialism only applies to the idea of government ownership of business and of some limited income redistribution. Communism however mandates absolute government ownership of all business and all property as well as absolute income redistribution. To say that socialism and communism are the same shows two things, first your massive lack of understanding of governmental and economic systems, and second that you must think a chicken and a turkey are the same things because they're both birds and taste good with mashed potatoes.
