He might be a great choice in 10 - 20 years. I'm not up to speed on Kasich. I'd have to look close before making up my mind.

Established by who? The far right extremist have latched onto the label "conservative" to the point that neither Reagan or even Goldwater would be considered conservatives by their standards. Brooks has always been a moderate conservative. To the extreme radical right, that has to mean liberal, but not to anyone else. All one need do is look up his name and read his bio's and a few of his articles.
