12 UK organisations who work to improve the lives of LGBT+ people have been awarded government funding.

A total of £2.6 million has been awarded to the organisations to mark LGBT History Month as a part of the government’s LGBT Action Plan.

It hasnt always been the case. Back in the 80s it was the kiss of death for politicians.

I had a look at this list of Gay MPs and you can see that all parties have Gay MPs. A lot of them are well known and I was unaware of their sexuality.

I think the issue is that religion is not a part of our political life. In fact any politician talking about their religious beliefs would probably be laughed at. God would definitely not be your running mate in the UK.
