Yea, do go on. There are a couple of things we could start with for review once you are finished. For one, you applaud the Family Research Institute among the positive things Republicans have done. Let's take a closer look, shall we?Ok, I'll answer this absurd thread, just to show how bizarre it is. Here are some ways Republicans help kids after they're born:
Republicans helped pass and have long supported the CHIP/SCHIP program, a federal program that provides health insurance for children. Sen. Hatch (R-Utah) co-sponsored the first bill, and the GOP-controlled Congress reauthorized the program and increased its funding every year under Bush.
Republicans give more to charities than do Democrats. Google it.
Tens of thousands of Republicans around the country are foster parents.
Thousands of Republicans adopt children each year.
Republicans are by far the biggest backer of the American Heritage Girls, a wonderful faith-based alternative to the Girl Scouts. (Two of my daughters were members of the group.)
Republicans donate time and money to groups that try to persuade women who are considering abortion to go ahead and have the baby--and these groups then help place the baby up for adoption, if the mother desires.
Republicans donate heavily to Shriner's Children Hospital.
Republican couples divorce less frequently and thus provide a more stable home for children. The stats are undeniably clear that children raised in traditional two-parent homes stand a much better chance of being successful and avoiding serious life problems (like jail) than do children raised by single parents (see, for example, the relevant links on the following page: Homosexuality and Same-Sex Marriage ).
Hundreds of thousands of Republican parents volunteer to help with their kids' school activities each year.
Republicans support school choice and charter schools, which have enabled hundreds of thousands of kids to attend better schools.
And on and on and on I could go.
I pay taxes. And I don't kill babies before they are born. When people start threads about how Republicans work to protect the fetus, but do nothing for the born, USMB Republicans become outraged. They insist that's not true. Someone just explained how they support alternate schools in DC. Someone else said they gave some poor kids a "charity basket" with canned goods and blankets.
Please, USMB Republicans, explain the many ways Republicans help children after they born. We are very interested.
Republicans will point to the "Goodness and wellness" center whose real policy is let him die and say see, we love goodness and wellness. As long as it has a name they like.
So the Family Research Institute, a group of rabid right wingers who do no research and wants gays dead must be good. After all, they are named "Family Research".
Need a hankey??When people start threads about how Republicans work to protect the fetus, but do nothing for the born, USMB Republicans become outraged. They insist that's not true.
