Libertarians Welcome Governor Gary Johnson to Party, Presidential Race | Libertarian Party

I think that the GOP has a super candidate in Ron Paul. Problem with Ron Paul is his idea of shrinking government is a long drawn out process(too slow), & Ron's idea of cuts in federal government cost by eliminating just five bureaucracies is ridiculously small by anyone's imagination. With Gary 'fireball' Johnson(if he makes the Libertarian nominee) & his "get it right in a night" diet for federal government... there is absolutely NO slow about it... like pedal to the metal.
Gary would still have to battle with the capital hill big government GOP/DNC gang & it's welfarian statist mentality... but so does any other POTUS. If your looking for federal bureaucracy you can fit in a telephone booth, 'fireball' Johnson...

The irony of this, of course, is the libertarian use of the Imperial Presidency to ‘shrink’ the Federal government.

Not to mention ending the ‘tyranny’ of the Federal government only to subject the American people to the tyranny of state and local governments.

Libertarian, democratic, republican – it makes no difference, any significant change can come only from the bottom up, there is no quick fix, and, yes, it will take a very long time to accomplish, assuming it’s even possible at all.

Ground up is the way. Government has always been evil as it caters to man's dominant & aggressive nature. As my 101 sociology instructor once said... "Mankind is a social creature, but never has been a herd creature & cannot be a herd creature." He admitted that mankind's past history illustrates that man cannot be governed by fellow man. The scorching city crime problem vs the minimal to no crime problem in rural/farming areas lends credence to his anti herd illustration.
No individual in history understood the psych of the human animal better than the person who uttered the following quote... "I use emotion for the many & reserve reason for the few."
Sad but true.
