I'm not sure I understand the Cleveland-Akron dynamic LeBron's trying to paint a picture of lately. I grew up in Lake County--not even in Cuyahoga but within a half hour's drive of the city and certainly close enough that, in the interest of being succinct, I'd tell anyone unfamiliar with the geography of northeast Ohio that I'm from Cleveland.
I never realized there was allegedly some great animosity between the Cleveland metropolitan area and the neighboring Akron metropolitan area. Honestly, I still tend to think of all of northeast Ohio as one unit. Was I just not paying attention? Or is he just trying to somehow come up with a narrative that doesn't involve him walking out on his home, uh, region?
I have no idea, Greenpeace. Mebbe there really are some people in Cleveland he hates. God knows, I can think of a few I can't stand, and I did not grow up here.
But what possessed him to slap his old fans with a cold fish this way?
LeBron: clue phone for you. Trashing your old fans and hometown ain't cool. And stop using the royal "we" and third person tense to refer to yourself. Nobody thinks you are the fucking Queen of England.
