Congress spent $22 million of taxpayer money from 2007 through 2012 on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program to study UFOs, initiated by (former) Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) with support from (deceased) Senators Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) and Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii).
