DARPA's high powered laser reached a milestone in
2011. They constructed of a small 150 kW laser to
counter aircraft. DARPA has since moved the lasers
to White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico for testing 2013.

Let's see, they tested one against a drone. Which country uses drone planes? Can you spell circular firing squad? The thing costs about a billion dollars and DOD salesmen claim it only costs a dollar to shoot. Now the DOD claims they intend to use a freaking laser against pirates in small boats when they were reluctant to use .50 cal machine guns. Nothing makes sense in this administration.
