It does seem that as of a few minutes ago that until BoA explains themselves a little better in this matter they won't be doing business with the state of Il. It does appear that the state is more than a little upset with them.
You are a typical liberal. Everything is theory to you. But in the real world your policies simply don't work. Try learning from history. You don't know what you're talking about Gord.
I don't really blame you for not understanding this issue, since you and the rest of American have been fed nothing but one fucking lie about economics after the other.
But at least NOW you know that the Adam Smith FREE TRADER myth is a lie, right?
Got a link ?
I think the Bank is getting a bad rap on this particular business closure.
It was the factories responsibility to pay it's employees, not the banks. The factory owner(s) should have had a reserve fund to pay them.
Not the best analogy but if the bank won't loan me the money to buy a car to get to work and I lose my job, is that the banks fault?
I have learned my lesson on Bank of America here recently! My finacial Aid check is through Bank of America and so therefore I got talked into opening a student account like an idiot which is suppose to have no fees for writing checks or just to the account in general. Well I can say the no fee thing is very untrue and they think of other shit to charge you for. For one they charged my saving account which I never touched something like three to five dollars a month after I opened the account for some bullshit reason.I already didn't like BofA. Had an account with them at one time. They had a fee for thinking about writing a check.
This wrong and I want to know where our government is with their arms all up in the air frantically bailing these employees out. BofA is responsible for their problems, these employees are not, but look who gets screwed ... the little guys.

The trade deficit is mostly oil - that is liberals fault for not allowing domestic exploration and production. The national debt is from government overspending - Duh! Up until these last few months unemployment was averaging below that of the Clinton years at a level that is considered to be full employment. How high does our trade deficit have to go:
How many more unemployed:
How high does the National Debt have to go:
...before it is realized that "free trade" hasn't done well for this country?
History proves your theories are wrong.Translation:
That's right editec, I don't know jackshit about what I'm saying, but if I can insult you personally, that'll make up for my feelings of inadaquacy stemming from the fact you took me to school on this subject.
The 'global' thing is not as simple as it is being reported. The president thing people do have a little bit of a choice in.No it's not----it's a global financial "thing" that Americans have no choice in. Sorta like electing a president.
