Kochs buying the election

Oh come on...they give money to a candidate that reflects their ideology, in this case, business. That is something that Obama knows nothing about, CC.
No rose color glasses for me, just reality.

Reality for some is subjective unfortunately.

Your responses only consist of two types: Stick your finger in someones eye response or jerk someone elses dick response. Thats as deep as you get

Stop jerking dicks

Translation: "What"?

libtards just hate it when they get beat at their own game. Go Romney!

What about the Taxpayers? How are they gonna pay for this Recall sham? They're likely to be stuck with quite a Bill after this thing is over. Who represents them anymore?

Do any of you lefties buy any of these things?
They are all from Koch Industries
Brawny
Angle Soft
Mardi Grass products
Quilted Northern Dixie products
Sparkle products
Vanity Fair
Lycra products

Do any of you have stain master carpets?

They also do asphalt used for roads and roofing.

They have cattle ranches in three states, Montana, Texas and Kansas, from which all of you, who buy beef from grocery stores gets.

Is there a point to that question Peach?

Don't bother with reason & logic. It's a big waste of time on a thread like this. You're dealing with lazy Entitlement cretins. They don't know what working and being a productive Citizen is. They just want others to pay for their Freebies. That's all they know and want to know. It is sad but it is what it is. Nice effort though. :)

That is what this whole thing is about.
The Unions have been controlling WI for a very long time.
If Walker wins, it's representation for the people again and not the unions.
I heard that it will cost them about 17 million dollars. That includes the repairs needed that the union protesters did in damages to the capital.

And the perps shoud be brought to court to pay for the damages.

This debacle really could be disastrous for the Democratic Party in Wisconsin. Gonna be lots of very angry Taxpayers in Wisconsin when they pick up the check on this. The future doesn't look too bright for future Democratic Candidates in Wisconsin. But hey, it was of their own doing.

And thier greed and lust finally caught up to them to thier detriment.

How can they buy the election when George Soros has already bought it?

If Soros truly had power, he would have been able to buy enough "Blue Dog" Democrats to pass the Public Option. When a Democrat holds the presidency, the number of Liberal billionaires aren't big enough to counter rightwing money. The Blue Dog Democrats who brought down the Public Option were heavily funded by the large health insurance PACs which own the Republican congress. Meaning: Soros didn't have enough money to save the most key component of Democratic legislation in the last 50 years. This is why the Health Care plan was a give away to Big Insurance, and the Stimulus was over 1/3rd tax cuts to the wealthy

Point is: big business owns enough Democrats to block any legislation which threatens their centralized control of politics and the economy.

Look at the 2003 Republican Drug Bill. Eli Lilly (and other members of the Big Pharma constellation), poured billions into the Republican congress. The result was a bill that destroyed drug competition, and tied the taxpayer (through Bush's Medicare Part D) to above market costs supplied from an artificial drug monopoly. Soros couldn't stop it.

The problem that Soros faces is the problem Democrats have always had. It's hard to get money from Rich people when your central platform is to tax them at a higher rate. Soros can't change the fact that there will always be more special interests money on the right. Why? Because 99% of the businesses out there don't want to pay higher taxes or have more regulations.

Granted, Clinton did ditch Labor for Wall Street. But that only works for the occasional election cycle. Eventually big business comes home to the party which taxes them less.

Look at how long it took for business to capture the regulatory apparatus. They had to spend trillions between 1980 and 2000 to knock down Glass-Stegal. But they eventually did captured both parties on behalf of private profits and concentrated wealth. George Soros doesn't stand a chance. In the last few election cycles he has been outspent by the Koch brothers by a factor of ten. And the Koch brothers are just one source of special interest money. The Right has the full power of every transnational in the world who wants lower taxes. Who is the Left kidding? With Citizens United, the Supreme Court handed government to the ultra wealthy. The game is over. The state has been captured.

Peach, is there are point to this question?

I agree with you but are you saying that no one could possibly give money in return for favors? If its a possibility, thats the problem with unlimited donations

Donations are also a form of speech...wanna limit it?

Yes they do. That's what the Citizen's United case was all about: people banding together and contributing their money to publish a message to the public. That's what Democrats hate: people they don't agree with getting their message to the voters.

I dont like it...now your turn. How do you feel about both sides doing it?

I have no problem with it as long as it's done legally.

Well thats where we differ. If someone is allowed to contribute unlimited amounts of cash, their voice is louder than the people that dont. You know what happens when people give money they usually expect a favor or two.

The amount any single person can contribute to a campaign is still limited to a specific amount, I believe it's $5000. So your real concern is with people expressing their opinions.

You're a Stalinist.

The public option failed because the public didn't want it. The insurance companies have been giving more money to Obama and the Democrats than the Republicans, so your theory is absurd on it's face.

Point is: big business owns enough Democrats to block any legislation which threatens their centralized control of politics and the economy.

ROFL! It doesn't seem to be working. The Obama administration has been waging war on big business for 4 years now. They have completely shut down any new drilling on public lands, they have closed 60 coal fired power plants and made it impossible to build any new ones. If big business owns the Democrats, it sure isn't getting much for its money.

How did Medicare Part D destroy drug competition? How does the bill force anyone to pay above market prices?

The problem that Soros faces is the problem Democrats have always had. It's hard to get money from Rich people when your central platform is to tax them at a higher rate. Soros can't change the fact that there will always be more special interests money on the right. Why? Because 99% of the businesses out there don't want to pay higher taxes or have more regulations.

The problem Soros has is that not everyone is as stupid as the people who fall for your horseshit. Not everyone wants to destroy the rich or destroy corporations. Not everyone is into self-immolation. People want jobs, and they know where jobs come from
