I'll grant you, there probably wouldn't have been automatic alarm bells going off when he saw the site name, since it's not a household name here, but for someone as well versed in social media as he is, the tricks should have been obvious.

Judy Woodruff did an interview with Imam of a Virginia mosque last night about the concerns. It's worth hearing that he condemns the violence of the extremists as much as anyone. He is an AMERICAN.
That is where the concern is--that this anti-extremist fervor will turn into a genocidal witch hunt like they're having in Myanmar right now, like what the Croats did. Like what the Nazi's did. Wanting to put on the brakes before we become twisted animals ourselves is not a bad thing, imo.

each side tends to overreact in order to address the problem. while i don't know which muslim is going to kill me for their religion *could* be considered a fair statement, i don't know which white dude is going to hole up in a resort hotel and open fire on 20k people either. if you choose to separate those 2 then you tend to do it for your own piece of mind, not to address a problem.

these days there is simply global tension and it's running high and no one factor is to blame. in my own life it's the 2nd time we've been this violent globally and the last time was vietnam and i was pretty young. i mostly remember a lot of colleges and "hippies" singing "give peace a chance" and then following it up with "or we beat the shit out of you" and DOWN WITH THE MAN. globally it was a tense time.

given what we have going on today, trump is simply more fuel to the fire but i believe hillary would be as well in her own way. sometimes you just hit a point of no return and regardless of what happens, you see it in a manner to continue that direction and rarely pull back until it's too late.

if we came here to find freedom of religion then that freedom is for us all and we need to find a way to deal with extreme facets of it - together.

now, in all fairness we've all gotten the wrong person at times and had to go back and correct it. however, when you are the president it's a whole new game and these mistakes simply compound any negative emotion you've already got running against you.
