1. Hes a partisan public hack (like O'Reilly or Hannity)
2. His show was never about or was it a good forum for meaningful debate on issues (a problem with all cable news shows). A five minute discussion of issue between people with supect credentials spewing talking points filtered by Olbermanns bias isnt going to result in quailty debate.
3. Regurgitation of talking points
4. Few people watched his show

Lawrence O'Donnell has done a good job picking up any slack. He's been tougher than I expected he would be. The difference is that O'Donnell really knows his stuff, because he's been a Washington staffer and knows what's political spin and what's fact and comes off as dead serious, whereas Olbermann always had a clownish attitude.
