Told ya. Thousands of illegals voted once again. Dems have to break laws to win. This should be headline news on TV but it will be censored.

Alabama court gives last-minute order that could impede recount procedure

dec 13 2017 Controversy swirled over the mechanics of the Alabama Senate election after the state supreme court intervened at the eleventh hour to give election officials a green light not to preserve electronic ballot records that could form the basis of a recount.

A court in Montgomery, the state capital, issued an injunction on Monday afternoon ordering election officials around the state to preserve digital images of the ballots cast by Alabama voters in the hard-fought contest between controversial Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones.

But the supreme court stayed that injunction almost immediately following a protest lodged by Alabama’s chief election official, the secretary of state, John Merrill. Voting rights experts denounced the ruling as a blow to transparency in a state that already has a flawed vote recount procedure and a somewhat checkered history of questionable election outcomes that the state’s senior officials and courts have allowed to go unchallenged. “There’s no legitimate reason not to preserve ballot images,” said Christopher Sautter, a veteran Washington election lawyer who helped the plaintiffs in the case. “It’s neither expensive nor inconvenient. It amounts to flipping a switch.”

Priscilla Duncan, the lead plaintiff in the case, noted with some amazement that the secretary of state’s protest was lodged with the supreme court at 4.38pm and the justices came back with their ruling at 5.18pm. “It’s just unbelievable that they examined the pleadings and got eight judges to concur in half an hour on a Monday afternoon,” she said.

.....and here it begins.................LOL

It says in the article that Alabama has a history of fraudulent votes and questionable techniques. And since the predominant victory in Alabama history is Republican, this doesn’t really have any drastic implications for the Democrats, im pretty sure.

A little grace in defeat never hurt, you know. I seem to recall the major joking points of the election being the Dema freaking out...

118,000 citizens that have been registered voters their whole life, could not vote because of Alabama's recent voter ID laws and their not having valid voter ID's is what was said on the news last night....

me thinks there was not even a nano second of thought given to your assertion of voter fraud...

It's not in Alabama law that a recount can take place simply at will for a federal level election....a recount for US Senator takes place automatically if the final vote is a difference of 1/2 a percent or less....

Jones won by 1 1/2 percent. Three times the 1/2 %....There will be no recount.

Bama is deep red . How can there be all this voter fraud under their watch?

I have another theory . You bitches lost cause you suck!

Really? I'm not a Democrat, but I find that a lot of Republicans on this forum can't cope with logic and facts. In fact they have plenty of tactics of avoiding both.

Try such things as a thread by Ray from Cleveland

Now that Moore has been defeated, we no longer live in a country where the mantra is innocent until proven guilty.

Then before he said:

And criminal Hillary is yours.

Why would I support a free criminal that put our country at risk, will change the balance of the Supreme Court for at least the remainder of my lifetime and beyond, and can easily be blackmailed by our enemies with her stupid emails?

I'm not voting for Trump, I'm voting against Hillary, and I will do anything in my power to see that she doesn't get back in that White House.

The guy admits he voted against Hillary because she's a criminal, even though she's not been tried. Then complains when Moore loses because people have judged him without due process.

Logic?

I could go on all day finding rubbish logic on this forum from Republicans.

Bama is deep red . How can there be all this voter fraud under their watch?

Because after 8 years of aunt barry, voter fraud is everywhere. He went on tv the day before the nov 2016 election and told illegals "When you vote, you're a citizen".

The order was probably stayed because the judges knew that all Illegals were kicked out of Alabama in 2012.--

Besides that Alabama kicked out all illegals in 2012.

BTW--Alabama state law only allows a recount with .05% difference, then they do that automatically. The Secretary of State was wrong when he stated last night that Roy Moore could pay for a recount. In a Federal race for Senator, Roy Moore cannot pay for a recount. Alabama only allows that for state positions.

Henceforth a recount will not be done because Jones beat Moore by 1.5% of the vote total.

You do realize that Alabama State election officials are the ones that want to destroy the records- the electronic records that is.

And that officials are all appointed positions- so in Alabama they would likely have all been appointed by Republicans.

So why are you fantasizing about Democrats doing something about this election?
