JPMorgan Chase Begins Escape From New York

NYC needed the grocer...they need a Rudy like person from the business side
Speaking of Bloomberg No more kings either ...king joo himself who did away with term limits

If anyone deserves a 3rd time around it was rudy

Rudy was a governor after the real good gov. Look at the gov before him. Now Rudy has gone rogue.

Corporate socialism is alive and well in the US.

Rudy was never the Gov

Govs when rudy was mayor We had papa Mario and then Rino peekskill Pataki ...

The nyc mayor has a lot of pull in Albany and an army of 50000 cops under his command
The cops friggin hate deblazio...its a serious job ...not really ment for overgrown leftwing manboys who enjoy sleeping late

My brother in-law who lives in Albany tells a much more bleak story about how NY and NYC than your source. Despite having a state pension his daughter has to help with the red tape of his NY prisons pension. Based on the 16 years from the Seaway opening to the 1975 NYC insolvency I consider your source over optimistic in the extreme about the solvency of NY in general, much less that of NYC.

Indeed sir and you would be right ...they lose the financial industry the states finished ...

Wht they shOuld be doing is slashing taxes...especially property taxes for the middle classes all over the state ... encouraging growth slashing regulations .....and jump into the energy game full steam ahead...but they wont

Not with mario junior at the helm

Tell em to grab that pension and head for greener pastures

on state pensions and healthcare it is not easy to move out of New York.

I'm sorry mayor, the mayor before him was excellent but Rudy, nope. His father was a member of the mob, and after he died in 1981 he went after the mob people , but he knew what their weaknesses were. Rudy has gone rogue just like his Dad.

“Dinkins faced a very sharp economic downturn, and he was in the very difficult position of coming in with high expectations from many constituencies,” said John H. Mollenkopf, a political science professor at the City University Graduate Center. “Yet he expanded the police force and rebuilt neighborhoods; he deserves more credit than he gets for managing that time.”

Mr. Dinkins’s most lasting achievement might have been in the very area where he now fares worst in popular memory. He obtained the State Legislature’s permission to dedicate a tax to hire thousands of police officers, and he fought to preserve a portion of that anticrime money to keep schools open into the evening, an award-winning initiative that kept tens of thousands of teenagers off the street. Later he hired Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, and in the mayor’s final years in office, homicide began its now record-breaking decline.

Another Look at the Dinkins Administration, and Not by Giuliani
