Jobless claims rise.

It's been bouncing around. The average number of new claims/week has been about 371,000. In 2011 it was 406,000 and in 2010 it was 454,000

So it's a matter of what you want to compare. Is 372,000 a good indicator of decent job growth? Nope. Is it better than in the last few years? Yep.

But we'll see the Republicans complaining that it's not good enough yet and the Democrats cheering that it's getting better and both are right, and both are ignoring the whole picture.

Everytime the numbers come out you either outright ignore them and come up with your own calculation or you defend them! So my question to you? Why do you defend the indefensible?

I'm not "defending" anything. I specifically said it's not a good sign. You selectively read my posts, it seems.

Is there anything factually wrong with what I wrote? Are or are not weekly claims at a lower level than the last few years?

Are or are not the current claims still too high?

There is no spin or selectivity...just the facts.

the economy was crashed by republican ideas.

It is recovering even while the republicans try to stop the recovery

Actually...the very opposite is the truth.

FDR, a Democrat....instituted GSE's to insinuate government into the housing market.

The path to destruction has the footprints of Carter, Clinton, Cisneros, Cuomo, Dodd and Frank.

I guess you didn't realize that all of the above are Democrats.

Did they have the right to do so?
Not according to Article I, section 8 of the Constitution.

Interesting...none of that had anything at all to do with my post.

You posted "Republicans complaining that it's not good enough yet and the Democrats cheering that it's getting better and both are right,..."

I opt for objectivity.

But you in no way contradicted, or even commented on, anything I said, and while my post was strictly about UI claims, you didn't mention them at all in yours. I'm not even sure how you think I was not being objective...generally speaking both republicans and democrats are emphasizing the facets of the job situation that support their agenda...the democrats have an interest in pointing out the positive in order to keep Obama in office and the republicans have an interest in pointing out the negative to get him out.

What I documented is the absurdity of the Democrat position.

There aren't additional jobs.

None.

4.5M private sector jobs have been created since late 2009.

Clinton's destruction of credit standards via CRA revision was hardly a Republican idea.

But everyone did greedily feed at the trough once Slick blew the lid off of it.

Throw in the Dum Congress that took control in 2006:D
