Jihad war in Chicago

The local chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the pro-Israeli American Freedom Defense Initiative are fighting each other to define just what Jihad means. The battle is being fought out on city bus billboards.

I think it's great. This what freedom of speech means.

Let's see which group turns violent first, if either do.

Yeah great!!! Hopefully they won't stop with ink and paper!! I always say, If your gonna jihad, DO IT RIGHT!!!!

In Islam there is two types of jihah.

1) The jihad of warfare with the enemy. (small/easy, jihad)

But there are constraints; it can only be defensive and not waged against civilians.


2) Personal spiritual jihad (large/hard, jihad)

Such things as; spending more time reading Quran, dieting to lose weight, stop smoking, befriending people your don't like, etc.


Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said after winning a tough battle, "Fighting is the small/easy jihad" but, "Personal struggle is the large/hard jihad".
