James gardener dies

Maverick when I was a kid. And Rockford Files was so precious when I was older. There was something just so likeable about him.

One movie that blew me away that he was in was called the Glitterdome. It was a made for TV movie with John Lithgow and Margot Kidder based on a Wambaugh novel.

For all you Rockford fans, Stuart Margolin (Angel) directed it.

He was also in that sitcom after the passing of John Ritter was he not? I forget the name because I'm not much of a TV guy.

These people are irreplaceable.

My Okie homie would be seen at OU games in the mid seventies to early eighties in Norman Ok, by yours truly. I would say hi to him but he never responded...

Amazing actor. I remember the old Maverick series well. RIP Mister Gardener

Loved Garner

Great Escape, Maverick, Rokford

My favorite movie of his was as an intelligence officer who wakes up with amnesia in an asylum ten years after the end of WWII

Turns out it was a German ruse to trick him in to revealing the plans for D Day

Another legend has passed, I grew up watching the Rockford Files. RIP

He was a hell of a race car driver too. When they were filming Grand Prix he was just as fast as the regular drivers! They were impressed! RIP Mr. Garner, you were a MAN!

Never cry over spilled milk, it could've been whiskey. - Maverick
